Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor who was recently appointed U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is slated to address her former colleagues on Friday.
Haley, who stepped down as Palmetto State governor last month after being named to her new role by President Donald Trump, will speak at the Republican Governors Association luncheon at Washington’s Fairmont Hotel.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the RGA chairman, will address the 30 Republican governors expected to attend the group’s dinner Friday evening.
Governors from both parties are in Washington for a meeting of the National Governors Association. According to a memo the RGA sent out to donors and supporters, the group also plans to hold a series of panels, including one on cybersecurity that will feature Idaho Gov. Butch Otter.
